Save a QR code design once and reuse it on every smart link, and keep your brand's colours, logo and font in a brand kit your whole team shares.
Once a QR code looks right, you don't have to rebuild it for the next link. The QR code designer keeps two things for each Switchboard, shared by everyone in it:
Both show in the designer under Starting designs, on the QR code step when you create a link and on a link's QR code tab. See QR codes for the designer itself.
Design the code
Start from a starting design, a saved one or a blank code, and change anything you like.
Name it
Under Saved designs, type a name in Name this design (up to 60 characters), like "Shop window" or "Menu card".
Save it
Click Save design. "Design saved" confirms it, and it appears first in the row.
A saved design keeps everything you set: pattern, eyes, colours, frame, words, font and the centre graphic, an uploaded logo included. The code itself isn't part of it: each link always gets its own.
Click a saved design to put it on the code you're designing. You can still change anything afterwards, and the saved design stays as it was. Like the starting designs, it keeps the printed width you set on the scan meter.
On a link's QR code tab the change saves on its own, and every printed code for that link keeps working: the design changes, the address it holds doesn't.
Click the bin on a saved design, then Delete? to confirm. It's gone for everyone in the Switchboard. Links that already use that look keep it, because each link keeps its own copy of its design.
Each Switchboard keeps up to 20 saved designs (AVX-3841). Delete one you no longer use to save another. Each design, with its logo, can be up to about 300 KB: a large photo or a very detailed logo can go over (AVX-3842). A logo a few hundred pixels wide, as a PNG or SVG, is plenty.
The Brand kit holds your brand's look: up to four colours, a logo and a font. One kit per Switchboard, shared by the whole team.
Design a code in your brand's look first: your main colour as the code colour, your second colour in the eye centres, your frame colour, your background, your logo in the centre and your font on the frame. Then click Save as brand kit. "Brand kit saved" confirms it.
The kit takes from the design on screen:
Saving again replaces the kit. Before your team has a kit, the card says "Save your colours, logo and font to reuse them on every code."
The card shows your kit's colours and logo. Click Use brand kit to bring it to the design on screen:
Everything else in the design stays as it is. Your kit's colours also show as quick picks in every colour picker in the designer, so you can use them anywhere: the background, the frame's words, the eye rings, the backing plate.
Someone with See smart links only gets a link's QR code downloads, without the designer, so they don't see the saved designs.
Almost always it's the logo (AVX-3842). Make it smaller, save it as a PNG or SVG, upload it again on the Centre tab, and save the design or brand kit again.
That's the most a Switchboard keeps (AVX-3841). Delete one your team no longer uses, then save again.
A teammate deleted it, or you've switched to another Switchboard: each Switchboard has its own (AVX-3843). Links that used it keep their look.
