# Account Settings

> Every page of Avox Settings at a glance - Profile, Security, Offers, Business, Switchboard, Usage, and API Keys - with links to the full guides.

Source: https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings

**Settings** has seven pages. In the sidebar they're grouped under **Account** (Profile, Security,
Offers) and **Workspace** (Business, Switchboard, Usage, API Keys). Every page can also be opened from
the command palette by typing "Settings". **Usage** shows for members with the **See billing** or **See
analytics** permission, and **API Keys** for members with **See API keys**.

## Finding your way around Settings

- **On a computer**, the settings menu stays open on the left of every settings page, with the page
you're on highlighted. Nothing folds away.
- **On a phone**, the same pages sit in a tab bar across the top that stays put as you scroll. Swipe it
  sideways to see them all.
- At the bottom of the menu (on a phone, at the bottom of each settings page) are three more actions:
  - **Contact support** opens [Support](https://docs.theavoxai.com/support) with a new ticket already started, its subject naming
the settings page you were on.
  - **Leave Switchboard** removes you from the Switchboard you're viewing. See
    [Leaving a Switchboard](#leaving-a-switchboard).
  - **Sign out everywhere** signs you out on this device and every other device, and clears your
recent searches from this browser. Any other Avox tabs you have open go to the sign-in page.

### Leaving a Switchboard

Any member can leave. Click **Leave Switchboard**, then confirm. You lose access straight away and an
Admin can invite you back later.

If you're the **only Admin**, you can't leave - a Switchboard always needs one. The dialog says so and
offers two other ways out:

- **Pause this Switchboard** stops its numbers and automations but keeps everything. See
  [Pausing a Switchboard](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard#pausing-a-switchboard).
- **Delete this Switchboard** removes it for good. See
  [Deleting a Switchboard](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard#deleting-a-switchboard).

Or make someone else an Admin first (**Switchboard > Members**), then leave.

| Tab | What's there | Who it's for | Full guide |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| **Profile** | Your avatar, name, email address (and any change waiting to be confirmed), your sign-in methods, and the agreements you've accepted. | You | [Profile](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/profile) |
| **Business** | The business name and billing address of the Switchboard you're viewing. | Every member | [Business](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/business) |
| **Security** | A security overview, password, two-factor authentication, passkeys, active devices, recent security events, and deleting your account. | You | [Security](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security) |
| **Offers** | Gifts, perks and deals from Avox that you can still use, and the ones you've already used. | You | [Offers in your dashboard](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/coupons-and-gifts#offers-in-your-dashboard) |
| **Switchboard** | An overview of this Switchboard, its name and logo, pausing or deleting it, your other Switchboards, members, invitations, and activity. | Every member (most actions Admin-only) | [Switchboards](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard) |
| **Usage** | What this Switchboard has used this period against its plan's limits. | Members who can see billing or analytics | [Usage](#usage) |

Many cards have a **How this works** button that opens the matching section below.

## Profile

The top card shows your avatar, name, email, username, account ID, and when you joined. Your avatar is
made from your name, so it changes when your name does. Edit your **Full name** (up to 120 characters)
and click **Save changes** to keep it - you see "Profile updated". The tab also lists the policies
you've agreed to, with the version and date. See [Profile](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/profile).

### Email address

Changing your email sends a confirmation to **both** your current and your new address, and the change
only happens once it's confirmed. You see "Check both your old and new inbox to confirm the change".
Until then you keep signing in with your current address, and the card shows the change as waiting for
confirmation, with the new address and when you asked. Asking both inboxes stops anyone with access
to a signed-in browser from quietly moving your account to an address they control. Steps and messages:
[Changing your email address](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/profile#changing-your-email-address).

### Connected accounts

The **Sign-in methods** card lists every way you can sign in: **Email and password** (with a shortcut to
change your password), **Google**, and **Facebook**. Connect **Google** or **Facebook** to sign in with
it instead of a password. Each row shows
**Connected** or **Not connected**. You can disconnect one only while you have another way to sign in -
otherwise its button shows "Connect another sign-in method first". See
[Connected accounts](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/profile#connected-accounts).

## Business

Your registered business name and billing address - the same details checkout collects when you buy a
plan, kept in sync both ways. The business name is also what template and Flow previews show. Any member
can edit them, and the change applies to the Switchboard selected in the header. See
[Business](https://docs.theavoxai.com/settings/business).

## Security

The tab opens with three tiles: whether **Two-factor** is on, how many **Passkeys** you have, and how
many **Signed-in devices** there are. Click a tile to jump to its card.

### Password

Changing your password takes three steps on the **Password** card:

1. **Confirm your current password** - click **Continue** and Avox checks it on the server.
2. **Choose a new password** - type your own (a strength bar and a checklist show the rules as you go)
or click **Generate a strong password** for a 20-character one you can copy. Type it again, then
   click **Review**.
3. **Confirm and save** - check the summary and click **Update password**.

The new password needs 8 to 72 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number, with
no spaces at the start or end, and it can't be the password you already use. Changing it signs you out
on every other device; the one you're using stays signed in. See [Security](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security#your-password).

### Passkeys

Sign in with Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key instead of a password. Click
**Add a passkey** to create one, and the bin icon to remove one. Add as many as you like. See
[Passkeys](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security/passkeys).

### Two-factor authentication

Adds a 6-digit code from an authenticator app after you sign in. Click **Enable**, scan the QR code,
and enter the code to turn it on. Once it's on, every sign-in stops at a verification step until the
code is entered. If you lose the phone with your authenticator app, contact hello@theavoxai.com from your
account's email address. See [Two-factor](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security/two-factor).

### Active devices

Every browser that has opened your dashboard, with its system, browser, IP address, approximate location,
and when it was last active. Each other device has its own **Sign out** button; the row marked **This
device** has **Sign out everywhere**, which signs you out here and on every other device. Under the list,
**Sign out of all other sessions** signs out every device except the one you're using. See
[Sessions](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security/sessions).

### Recent security events

Your own recent security changes: password changes, two-factor turned on or off, and Switchboards you
paused, resumed, deleted, or left, plus role and permission changes you made. If something here wasn't
you, change your password and contact support. See
[Recent security events](https://docs.theavoxai.com/security#recent-security-events).

### Delete account

Click **Delete my account** to permanently delete your Avox sign-in and profile. You confirm by typing
your account email, plus your current password if your account has one. An account that signs in only
with Google or Facebook must have signed in within the last 15 minutes. If you're the only Admin of a
Switchboard, you're asked to add another Admin, delete that Switchboard, or leave it first. See
[Deleting your account](https://docs.theavoxai.com/data-deletion#deleting-your-account).

## Switchboard

The tab labeled **Switchboard** in the dashboard has five views: **General** (an overview, name and
logo, pause, delete), **Workspaces** (every Switchboard you belong to), **Members**, **Invitations**, and
**Activity** (Admins only). Leaving is in the settings menu. See [Switchboards](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard).

## Usage

**Settings > Usage** shows what the Switchboard you're viewing has used this period, against its plan:

- **Your plan and period** at the top: the plan's name and the dates of this period, with **See
  plans** (opens Billing) and **Refresh**.
- **Automation credits**: a ring showing how much of this period's credits are used, **Used**,
**Remaining** and the date they **Reset**, and a chart of credits spent per day for the last 30
days. **Top up** [buys more](https://docs.theavoxai.com/automation/credits#buying-more-credits) and **Upgrade** opens
[Change plan](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/change-plan) (both need **Manage billing**; anyone else sees "Need more
credits? Ask an Admin to top up or upgrade the plan."). Below it, "Where your credits come from, in
the order they're used" breaks them down (rolled over from last period, this period's plan credits,
bought credits), followed by the **Credits history**. See
  [Credits that roll over](https://docs.theavoxai.com/automation/credits#credits-that-roll-over).
- **Messages** sent and received this period (sent includes replies from the WhatsApp Business
app), and a chart of the last 30 days.
- **Plan limits**: templates, Flows, automations, connected numbers, members, and API keys in use. Bars
turn amber at 80% and red when full, and each row has a **Manage** link to its page. Connected
numbers are one pool shared by every Switchboard the owner has; members and API keys have no plan
  limit.
- **API requests** this period, **Live** (real messages) and **Test** (nothing reaches Meta).
- **Forwarded messages** this period, delivered and failed (with how many are still retrying).
- **Contacts** stored, with **Open Contacts**.

"This period" runs from your plan's monthly renewal date (or the calendar month without a plan). You
need the **See billing** or **See analytics** permission to open it. See [Plans](https://docs.theavoxai.com/plans) for each
plan's limits.

## Offers

**Settings > Offers** lists the gifts, perks and deals the Avox team has sent you: personal codes
(**Copy**, **Use at checkout**), gifted plans (**Accept gift**), free credits and limit boosts
(**Claim credits**, **Claim boost**), and perks (**Request it**), each with when it ends. Below them,
**Used and past offers** keeps a record of the rest. While you have an offer open, a gift button in
the dashboard header counts down to the one that ends first. With nothing to use, the page reads
**No offers right now**. See
[Offers in your dashboard](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/coupons-and-gifts#offers-in-your-dashboard).

Got a coupon code some other way? Enter it at checkout under **Have a coupon?** - see
[Using a coupon code](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/coupons-and-gifts#using-a-coupon-code).

## Organization

"Organization" is the same thing as the **Switchboard** tab above - your workspace, its team, and its
settings. Everything is explained on [Switchboards](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard), with roles on
[Members and roles](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard/members) and invites on [Invites](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard/invites).

## API keys

The **API Keys** tab lists every outbound API key across every connection in this Switchboard, with
**Test** (a safe check that sends nothing) and each key's recent requests. Admins (and members with
**Manage API keys**) can create, rotate and revoke keys, each confirmed with a 6-digit code emailed to
them. A new key is shown in full exactly once, and rotating keeps the key's name, description and
limits. See [API keys](https://docs.theavoxai.com/connections/api-keys) and
[Authentication](https://docs.theavoxai.com/avox-api/authentication).

- **Create a key** opens **Create an API key**: pick the Switchboard and WhatsApp number, choose
**Live key** or **Test key**, name it, then **Email me a code** to confirm.
- The arrow next to a key shows its **Recent requests**, with **See all in API logs**.
- **API logs** at the top of the tab opens the full request log; **How this works** opens the guide.
- Keys that were revoked, rotated or have expired move to **Revoked and expired keys** below.
