# Business Settings

> Your Switchboard's business name, billing contact, and billing address in Avox - every field, its limits, and how it syncs with checkout.

**Settings > Business** holds your business name and billing address. These are the same details
checkout collects when you buy a plan - change them here and checkout uses the new ones; change them at
checkout and they show up here.

**Every member** of the Switchboard can view and edit this tab, Admins and Managers alike (see
[Members and roles](https://docs.theavoxai.com/switchboard/members)).

The tab always edits the Switchboard selected in the header. If you belong to several, switch
Switchboards first, then open **Settings > Business**. If you aren't in any Switchboard yet, the tab
says "You aren't part of a Switchboard yet. Create one to add your business details."

## Fields

| **Business name** | Yes | 1 to 120 characters | Your registered business name. It's also the business name Avox shows in template and Flow previews. |
| **Billing contact** | No | Up to 120 characters | The person billing questions should go to. |

| **Address** (line 1) | No | Up to 200 characters | Street address. |
| Address line 2 (optional) | No | Up to 200 characters | Building, landmark, and so on. |

## Saving

**1. Edit the fields**

A problem with a field shows under it - for example "Business name can't be empty" or "Business
name is too long".

**2. Click Save changes**

You see "Business details updated". The change is recorded in the Switchboard's **Activity** log as
"Updated Switchboard settings".

If saving fails you see [AVX-3005](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3005) - check what you entered and try again.

## How it connects to billing

- **Checkout** fills these fields from its **Your details** and **Billing address** steps, and starts
  from what's saved here next time.
- The **billing country** decides how checkout displays prices: an address in India also shows rupee
  estimates next to the US dollar price. What PayPal charges is explained on [Billing](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing).
- Your plan is billed through your billing Switchboard (the first one you joined), so that Switchboard's
  details are the ones used for your plan. See [Invoices](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/invoices).

## Business name vs. Switchboard name vs. WhatsApp name
