# Support and Feedback

> Search the Avox FAQ, open and follow up on support tickets, report bugs, reach the team directly, and share feedback from your dashboard.

Source: https://docs.theavoxai.com/support

**Support & Feedback** in your dashboard is where you find an answer yourself, reach a real person when
you can't, and tell the team what could be better. Every member of a Switchboard can use it (it's the
**Use Support** permission, on for Admins and Managers by default). Open it
from **Support & Feedback** at the bottom of the sidebar, under **Settings**.

The page header says "Get help, report a problem, or share feedback about Avox - we usually reply"
followed by the team's current reply time.

## Contacting Avox directly

Under the header, a card lists how to reach the team: **Email** (hello@theavoxai.com), and - when the
team has set them - **Phone**, **WhatsApp**, **Hours**, and **We usually reply** with the current reply
time. Email, phone, and WhatsApp are links you can tap. These are the same details shown on avox.com and
the status page, kept up to date by the Avox team.

You can also:

- **Reply to any email from Avox.** Replies go straight to the support team.
- **Use the contact form on avox.com** if you can't sign in. You get a "We got your message" email that
quotes your message with a reference number.

## FAQ

The **FAQ** tab is a searchable list of common questions.

- Type in **Search the FAQ…** to search questions and answers.
- Filter by category: **All**, **Getting started**, **WhatsApp and Meta**, **Inbox and contacts**,
**Templates**, **Flows**, **Automation and Avox AI** (marked Beta), **Calls**, **Connections and
forwarding**, **Avox API and keys**, **Team and Switchboards**, **Billing**, **Security and
privacy**, **Status and updates**, **Troubleshooting**, **Account**, and **Feedback**.
- Click a question to open its answer. Some answers explain an error code and show it as a badge.
- At the bottom, "Still stuck?" links to **Open a ticket**, **Visit docs**, and **View all error
  codes** (the [error code reference](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes)).

## Opening a ticket

**1. Open the Tickets tab**

Or click **Open a ticket** at the bottom of the FAQ.

**2. Pick a category**

**General**, **Bug report**, **Connections**, **Inbox, Contacts & Calls**, **Templates & Flows**,
**Automation** (Beta), **Compliance**, **Billing**, **Technical**, **Feedback**, or **Other**.

**3. Write a subject and message**

**Subject**: up to 150 characters. Message: at least 10 and up to 4,000 characters - "as much detail
as you can."

**4. Click Submit ticket**

You see "Ticket submitted - we usually reply" with the usual reply time, and the ticket appears in
**Your tickets**.

The **Open a ticket** card sits next to **Your tickets** on the **Tickets** tab.

You get a **Support request received** email ("We got your request: your subject [T-4F2K9A]") with what
you wrote, the ticket reference, and a link to the ticket. Mention that reference if you contact the
team another way.

> **Tip**
>
> Include any `AVX-XXXX` code you saw, what you were doing, and which connection or page it was on. The
> [Error codes](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes) page explains each code.

Feedback is welcome too - a feature idea or "this feels clunky" is exactly what the **Feedback**
category is for.

## Reporting a bug

Pick **Bug report** when something in Avox is broken. The card becomes **Report a bug** and adds:

| Field | What to put |
| --- | --- |
| **Steps to reproduce** | What you clicked, in order, so the team can make it happen again. |
| **What you expected** | What should have happened. |
| **What happened instead** | What you saw, including any `AVX-XXXX` code. |
| **Page where it happened** | Filled in for you with the dashboard page you came from. Change it if that's not the right page. |
| **Include my browser details** | Shows exactly what will be sent (browser and version, system, window size, language) before you send. Untick it to leave it out. No cookies, passwords or page content are ever sent. |

Click **Send bug report**. Bug reports are marked **Urgent** for the Avox team: they go to the top of
the team's queue and the support team is emailed straight away. The ticket shows an **Urgent** badge in
**Your tickets**. Only bug reports are marked urgent; you can't set a priority yourself.

## Your tickets

**Your tickets** lists every ticket opened in this Switchboard, newest first, with its subject, category,
priority (when it's **Urgent**), date, and status:

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Open** | Waiting for the Avox team. |
| **Replied** | The team has answered. |
| **Closed** | Finished. It can be read but not replied to ("This ticket is closed."). |

With none yet: "No tickets yet - open one to get started." Every member of the Switchboard can see and
reply to its tickets, so a teammate can pick up a conversation.

### Reading and replying

Click a ticket to open its own page. At the top: **All tickets** (back to the list), the subject, its
status, category, priority, reference (`T-...`) and when it was opened. A bug report also shows its steps,
expected and actual result, page and browser. Below is the conversation: your original message, then
every reply in order - the team's replies are marked **Avox Support**, and yours show your name. Type in
**Write a reply…** (up to 4,000 characters) and click **Send reply**. To share a screenshot, paste a
link to it in your reply. Replying to a ticket the team has answered sets it back to
**Open**, so the team knows there's something new to read. Replying many times in a row shows "You're
replying too quickly - wait a minute and try again".

Each ticket has its own address (`/support/tickets/...`), so you can bookmark it or share it with a
teammate in the same Switchboard.

## When the team replies

- The person who opened the ticket gets a **Support reply** email ("Re: your subject [T-4F2K9A]") with
the reply and a link straight to the ticket.
- A red dot appears on the **Tickets** tab and next to the ticket.
- The notification bell shows "Support replied to" your ticket's subject, with **View reply**.

The dot and the bell notice clear as soon as you open the ticket. The ticket link in the email opens the
ticket's own page.

## Errors

| Code | When |
| --- | --- |
| [AVX-3083](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3083) | Your tickets couldn't load. |
| [AVX-3084](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3084) | The category, subject, or message isn't valid - for example a message under 10 characters. |
| [AVX-3085](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3085) | The ticket couldn't be submitted. |
| [AVX-3086](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3086) | Your reply couldn't be sent. |

Opening many tickets in a short time shows "You're opening tickets too quickly - wait a minute and try
again."

## Is something down?

Before opening a ticket about something that suddenly stopped working, check the
[Status page](https://docs.theavoxai.com/status-page). If the Avox team is already working on a problem, it's posted there with
updates as they happen. If everything shows green and it's still broken for you, open a ticket with the
time it happened.

## News and updates

- **Announcements** - product news from the Avox team is posted on avox.com/announcements. You can get
the big ones by email (**Get announcements by email**) or follow the RSS feed.
- **Changelog** - every new feature, improvement, and fix is listed in the docs
[Changelog](https://docs.theavoxai.com/changelog), which has its own RSS feed.
- **Dashboard notifications** - notices from the Avox team (for example planned maintenance) appear in
the notification bell, and can also be emailed. See [Emails](https://docs.theavoxai.com/emails#reminders-and-news).
- **New on this page** - when something new ships on a dashboard page, the
[Avox Avatar](https://docs.theavoxai.com/avox-avatar) appears in that page's header with "Something new here" (or "3 new
things here"). Click it to read the update, with a link to the full changelog entry. Close it or
click **Got it** and it's marked as seen for you, on every device.
- **Offers** - gifts, perks and deals from the Avox team appear behind the gift button in the header
and in **Settings > Offers**. See [Offers in your dashboard](https://docs.theavoxai.com/billing/coupons-and-gifts#offers-in-your-dashboard).
