# Template Insights

> See how many messages each WhatsApp template sent, delivered, had read, and had clicked over the last 30 days, straight from Meta.

Source: https://docs.theavoxai.com/templates/insights

Avox shows how each template is performing, using Meta's own template analytics. The numbers cover
the last 30 days and are read live from Meta each time you open the page, so they always match
what Meta reports. Every Switchboard member (Admin or Manager) can see them.

## On the Templates page

The **Your templates** table has two performance columns:

| Column | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Sent** | How many messages were sent with this template in the last 30 days. |
| **Read rate** | Read messages as a percentage of sent messages over the same 30 days. Shows "-" when nothing has been sent. |

Both columns show "-" while Meta has no numbers for a template yet, for example while it's still
in review.

## On a template's own page

Click **Manage** on a template to open its page. The **Last 30 days** card shows four totals and a
daily chart:

| Number | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| **Sent** | Messages sent with this template. |
| **Delivered** | Messages that reached the customer's phone. |
| **Read** | Messages the customer opened. |
| **Clicked** | Button taps on messages sent with this template. |

The chart below the totals draws one line each for **Sent**, **Delivered**, and **Read**, day by
day. Hover the chart to see a single day's numbers.

When there's nothing to chart yet you see "No traffic on this template in the last 30 days yet."
If your number is disconnected, you see "No messages yet - connect WhatsApp to see activity here".

## On Overview

The **Templates** card on [Overview](https://docs.theavoxai.com/overview#templates) shows three rings for **Sent**, **Delivered**
and **Read**. They count every template message your Switchboard sent in the last 30 days, across all
templates. Picking a template in the card's picker changes the name and status shown, not these
totals. For one template's numbers, open its own page.

## Reading the numbers

- **Delivered lower than Sent** means some messages haven't reached the customer's phone. Meta's
reasons for undelivered messages are listed on [Meta error codes](https://docs.theavoxai.com/meta-error-codes).
- **Read rate** compares templates fairly, since it's a percentage rather than a count.
- **Clicks** count button taps, so a template without buttons always shows 0 clicks.
- Insights cover templates only. For all messages in your Switchboard, see
  [Analytics](https://docs.theavoxai.com/analytics) and [Overview](https://docs.theavoxai.com/overview).

## Frequently asked questions

**Why does a template show '-' for Sent and Read rate?**

Meta has no numbers for it yet, for example because it's still in review or hasn't been sent in
the last 30 days. Read rate also shows "-" whenever nothing was sent.

**How fresh are the numbers?**

They're read from Meta each time you open the Templates page or a template's own page. Reload
the page to see the latest.

**Do insights include messages sent by automations and the Avox API?**

Yes. Meta counts every message sent with the template, however it was sent.

## Related errors

If Meta can't return numbers for a template, its page shows "Couldn't load insights for this
template right now. (AVX-3025)". See [AVX-3025](https://docs.theavoxai.com/error-codes/avx-3025) and try again shortly.
