Change your name and email address, connect Google or Facebook sign-in, and see the agreements you've accepted in Avox.
Settings > Profile is about you, not your Switchboard. Everything here applies to your own account in every Switchboard you belong to. It has four cards: Profile, Email address, Connected accounts, and Agreements.
The Profile card shows your Avox Avatar - generated from your name, so it changes when your name does - and your Full name.
Edit Full name
Up to 120 characters. It can't be empty ("Name can't be empty").
Click Save changes
The button only becomes active once the name has changed. You see "Profile updated".
Your name is what teammates see in Members, the Activity log, and invite emails you send. If saving fails, you see AVX-3004.
The address you sign in with, and where all your account emails go. The Email address card says: "Changing this sends a confirmation link to both your current and new address - the change only takes effect once you confirm."
Type the new address in Email
Up to 254 characters. It must be a valid email address ("Enter a valid email address").
Click Change email
The button only becomes active once the address has changed. You see "Check both your old and new inbox to confirm the change".
Confirm from both inboxes
Your new address gets Email change - confirm new address, and your current address gets Email change - approve from old address. Each has a 6-digit code and a link.
Done
Once confirmed, you sign in with the new address. Your old address gets an Email address changed notice.
Until you confirm, nothing changes - you keep signing in with your current address. Asking both inboxes means someone using a signed-in browser of yours can't quietly move your account to an address they control. If the request can't be started you see AVX-3094.
Switchboard invites and gifts are tied to an email address. If you change your address, an invite or gift sent to the old one must be accepted from an account using that old address.
Connect Google or Facebook to sign in with one click instead of a password. Each row shows Connected or Not connected.
You always need at least one way to sign in. While a provider is your only sign-in method, its Disconnect button is disabled with the hint "Connect another sign-in method first". An account that signs in with an email and password always has that as a second way in.
Errors: AVX-3095 (couldn't connect), AVX-3096 (couldn't disconnect).
Facebook sign-in matters for data deletion: if you remove Avox from your Facebook settings, Meta asks Avox to delete the data linked to that Facebook login. See Data deletion.
A read-only list of the policies you've agreed to, each one listed once:
You agree to the same policy in several places (signing up, each checkout, each number you connect…), and each of those is kept as its own record. History next to a policy opens all of them, newest first: whether you agreed, the version, where, how (Ticked a box, Clicked through, Cookie banner, or Update notice (continued use)), the date and time, and a partly hidden IP address. For the Cookie Policy it shows the choice you made in the cookie banner while signed in.
When a policy you agreed to gets a new version, you're told in the dashboard and by email, and a record of that notice is added here. See When a policy changes.
With nothing yet, it says "Nothing recorded yet." The Cookie settings link under the list reopens the cookie banner so you can change your cookie choice. See Cookie choices.
