The emails Avox sends, which ones you can turn off in Compliance, newsletter preferences and unsubscribe links, and fixing missing emails.
Avox emails you about your account, your WhatsApp numbers, billing and your team. Emails come from
Avox, and replying to any of them reaches the Avox support team (hello@theavoxai.com). Most are
service emails that always go out; four kinds can be switched off per Switchboard; and the newsletter is
a separate opt-in.
The full list of every email, with subjects, is on Emails.

Announcements

Yes - Product news and announcements
Alerts and reports are limited so they don't repeat: the same critical alert or API problem is
emailed at most once a week, and each setup nudge at most once every two weeks.
In the dashboard, go to Compliance and find Email Preferences ("Manage optional organization-wide emails").
2
Choose what you want
Turn each of the four switches on or off.
3
Save
Click Save Email Preferences. You'll see "Email preferences saved".
Preferences apply to the whole Switchboard. Only an Admin can save them.
All four are on by default.
Required emails are always sent and can't be turned off: sign-in and security notices, billing and payment emails, team invites and changes, support replies, automation credit warnings, and WhatsApp numbers being connected or removed.
Turning off WhatsApp account alerts means you won't be emailed when Meta flags
your account, a template is paused, or a number's access is about to end.
The Avox newsletter ("Product updates & newsletter") is separate from your account emails.
Unsubscribe: every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link, and supports one-click
unsubscribe in email apps. The page Unsubscribe from Avox updates? confirms with
Unsubscribe, and you can Resubscribe any time.
Preferences: the Manage preferences link opens What we send you, with one switch for
the newsletter.
Unsubscribing from the newsletter leaves receipts, security codes and account notices
unaffected - "those aren't marketing".
Announcement emails to your account have Unsubscribe · Manage preferences in the footer,
which open Compliance.
Every announcement is also published on avox.com/announcements, with an RSS feed, if you'd rather
read them there. Product changes are listed in the docs Changelog.
After saving, reload Compliance and check the switches kept your choices.
Trigger a harmless always-sent email - for example, connect Google in Settings > Profile - and
look for "Google sign-in was added to your Avox account".
Avox never asks for your password by email. Codes are only for the screen you requested them on.
Security emails ("New sign-in", "Your Avox password was changed") always go out, so you hear about
changes you didn't make. If you don't recognise one, change your password and review
Sessions.
Your own server isn't involved. Avox sends every email itself, and your preferences are saved in the dashboard. To keep your team informed from your own systems, use those systems' own email, or send WhatsApp messages through the Avox API.
They're mandatory service emails, so they always go out to the right person.
Do my teammates get the same emails?
Personal emails (sign-in, security) go to each person. Alerts and billing go to the Switchboard's
Admins - some to every Admin, some only to the Owner (the first Admin). See Emails.
Can I reply to an Avox email?
Yes. Replies go to the Avox support team, so you can ask about any email by replying to it.
Why did I get a 'New sign-in' email?
Avox emails you when your account is used from a device it hasn't seen in the last 30 days. If it
wasn't you, change your password and review Sessions.
Who can change the email preferences?
Any Admin of the Switchboard. The choices apply to the whole Switchboard, not to one person.
Can I get WhatsApp alerts instead of email?
Avox alerts are sent by email. To message your team on WhatsApp from your own systems, use the
Avox API.
