How Avox plans are paid through PayPal - checkout, subscriptions and one-time payments, receipts, failed payments and cancelling.
Avox plans are paid through PayPal. Checkout opens PayPal's own secure window, so your payment
details stay with PayPal. Monthly and Yearly plans run as a PayPal subscription; One-time is a
single PayPal payment that covers a full year.
A PayPal subscription at a discounted monthly price, billed monthly for a 12-month commitment.
Yes, automatically.
One-time
One PayPal payment that covers the full year, at a discount.
No - it ends after the year.
The current prices and discounts are on the pricing page and Plans. Every plan is paid in
US dollars: PayPal charges the USD amount shown at checkout, and the line under the PayPal button says
"PayPal charges you in US dollars (USD)." Where a price is shown in Indian rupees, it's an estimate
at today's exchange rate.
On the pricing page, choose Monthly, Yearly or One-time, then click the button on the plan you want.

Confirmation
The thank-you page shows "Confirming your payment…", then "You're all set".
A coupon that covers the whole price skips PayPal: the button becomes Activate with your plan
at $0.
Each Monthly or Yearly subscription payment emails a receipt to the Switchboard's Owner (its first
Admin): "...plan is active" for the first payment, "...plan renewed" for each renewal.
Manage subscription lists every payment under Payment history (Date, What,
Amount, Status, Invoice) and every invoice under Invoices, with references like
INV-000123. See Invoices.
When a renewal fails, PayPal retries it automatically. Meanwhile:
Your plan shows Payment due, and everything keeps working - numbers, automations and the API.
The Owner is emailed "Your last payment for Avox ... didn't go through", and the Billing page shows
"Your last payment didn't go through" (AVX-3003) with Fix billing.
If PayPal suspends billing after repeated failures, the plan is Paused and connected numbers
pause. Update your payment in PayPal; when PayPal resumes billing, everything switches back on.
Change plan: on Billing, click Change plan. For subscriptions you approve the
new price in PayPal, and it applies from your next billing date. See
Change plan.
Cancel in Avox:Manage subscription > Cancel subscription. You won't be charged again,
and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for. Cancelling a Yearly plan
before its 12 payments are made has an early-cancellation fee, shown in the dialog and paid
through PayPal. See Cancel.
Cancel in PayPal: you can also cancel the subscription from your PayPal account. Avox picks
it up automatically: your plan keeps working until the end of the paid period, and you're notified
"Your plan was cancelled".
When a plan ends, connected numbers pause until a plan is active again. They resume on their own
when you subscribe again (AVX-3082).
Your own server isn't involved. Checkout, subscriptions, receipts and cancellations all happen between you, PayPal and Avox, and Avox verifies every payment with PayPal itself.
Checkout uses PayPal's button. PayPal's own window offers the ways to pay that PayPal supports for
your account and country.
Which currency am I charged in?
US dollars - the amount shown at checkout. A price shown in Indian rupees is an estimate at today's
exchange rate. If your card or bank account uses another currency, PayPal or your bank converts it at
their own rate.
Where do I see the subscription in PayPal?
In your PayPal account's automatic payments. You can see or cancel it there at any time.
Who receives the receipts?
The Owner of your billing Switchboard - its first Admin, normally the person who set up the account.
Every invoice is also on Invoices for every member to see. See Emails.
Is there a refund policy?
Yes - every plan has a 15-day money-back guarantee on its first payment, refunded through PayPal. Ask from Billing > Manage subscription > Request help / refund. See
Refunds.
