This period's automation credits are used up - automated replies are paused until they reset.
Every automated reply an automation actually sends costs a small number of credits (see the Automation page's own credits card for your plan's allowance and reset date). Automations that would fire are skipped, logged, and simply don't send until the next period - nothing is lost or retried indefinitely.
Go to the Automation page and check the credits card for your plan's allowance and reset date.
Wait for the next reset - sending resumes automatically.
No action is required; skipped automations are logged, not lost.
